3 DAY OKAVANGO DELTA HOUSEBOAT
SAFARI
Day 1
On arrival in Maun, you will
be met by a representative of Ecosouth Africa
and transferred 3 hours by road to Shakawe or 1
hour by light aircraft charter. Here you will be
again met and assisted onto boarding the
houseboat.
2 x nights on the houseboat
inclusive of all meals, tea, drinking water and
one water-based activity per day which is 2 – 3
hours long.
The Houseboat is categorized
more as a floating Lodge than a Houseboat.
It consists of 2 decks- the lower deck has 8
en-suite cabins with sliding glass doors opening
on to the pristine wilderness that is the
Okavango Delta. This design offers guests
unrivalled views of the crystal clear waterways,
abundant birdlife and the seas of papyrus. The
Upper Deck is approximately three meters above
the waterline, where the dining area, bar and
open deck are situated.
This design offers views that are simply
breathtaking when having a sun downer and the
privacy and convenience of en-suite cabins allow
ample space for guests to have some “alone”
time.
The houseboat has 2 tender
boats which assist in the activities offered.
Activities include fishing, bird watching,
boating and visits to Tsodilo Hills. The latter
is a World Heritage Site with possibly the
richest concentration of San Rock Paintings in
the world.
Day 3
This morning following a final
morning breakfast and activity (time
permitting), you will be transferred by road or
light aircraft charter back to Maun to connect
to your onwards arrangements.
